At Alegria beach resort we are responsible for protecting children from all forms of abuse and exploitation, from emotional neglect to physical abuse or sexual harassment/exploitation. We support and respect children’s rights and provide training to our employees about them, as well as how to manage incidents related to their protection.
All necessary measures are taken to protect children from any kind of exploitation. No tourism program that promotes or encourages the abuse or commercial exploitation of minors is permitted. Suspicious behaviour either by employees or by guests that concerns children is immediately reported to the authorities or to the recognized National SOS Line 1056 operated by “Smile of the Child”.
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) defines a child as everyone under 18 unless, “under the law applicable to the child, majority is attained earlier”.
